Saint Monica University System (SMUS) offers programs that are at the intersection of the arts, science, and technology. Our strong reputation is based on the relevance and impact of our programs. We offer programs that are designed to help our graduates create jobs or prepared for the challenging job market. Teaching at SMUS emphasizes the practical application of knowledge to alleviate poverty, build peace and stability, and drive development.

Bachelor's Degree Programs

We can admit students directly into the bachelor’s programs, or through the HND programs. Students who already have the HND or other recognized higher education certification, can simply complete their degree program with us in one year. If you already hold an academic or professional certificate, please contact us to see if and how we can fast track your journey towards a respected and accredited degree. Our degree students can study either onsite at our onsite in campuses in Buea, Freetown, Kumba, Yaounde, or online via our Virtual Learning Platform. Most of our students follow a hybrid approach, where they take some classes onsite and others online. Our bachelor’s degree programs are offered under the mentorship of the University of Douala, which mentors programs offered by member institutions of the Saint Monica University System. Master's Degree Programs

Our graduate programs typically run for two years, and one requires a bachelor’s degree in order to gain admission in the master’s programs. While most of our degree programs are offered through the University of Douala, there are a few that are being offered in partnership with the University of Ngaoundere and Université la Pléiade d’Haïti (UPLEH).

Degree Completion Programs

We offer online degree completion programs for those with prior academic credits from other accredited institutions or programs. If you already have the Higher National Diploma (HND), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the State Registered Nurse Diploma or its equivalence, the Teacher’s Certificate or its equivalence, the Associate Degree, or any other recognized certificate, you can complete your degree within one year or more.

Non-degree Programs

Whether you want to take just a single course or complete pre-requisites for admission into other schools, feel free to study at SMUS Online. We offer pre-requisite courses for those seeking direct admission into nursing, pharmacy, and other health-related programs in the United States and other countries.
